Scorned is the second in the Ruthless Rebels MC series by Chelsea Camaron and Ryan Michele. I loved this book and read it straight through in one sitting.It was entertaining, well written, well developed and suspenseful. I liked the premise of the story. Mixed into the second chance theme and MC action, Camaron and Michele tackle the difficult world of TBI. Parts of the storyline are troubling, yet it's plausible and presented a nice backdrop to the plot. I loved that the authors didn't gloss over some of the real issues of TBI, yet found a way to live a somewhat normal life.
Austin "Shamus" Fletcher and Andrea Lynn Davies. They were high school sweethearts with the world ahead of them together. And then they weren't. Hard feelings and lost love, Andrea left their small town and didn't look back. Shamus patches into the Ruthless Rebels MC and moves on with his life. Fast forward several years when a tragic accident brings Andrea home and they are forced to live in the same small town again.
I liked the storyline. The authors captivated me from the beginning and kept me intrigued until the end. It had a flare of mystery, wasn't predictable and had a nice twist for the conclusion. I also loved how they addressed the past misunderstanding without jumping over it too soon or dragging it out. It was the perfect goldilock's moment.
There were a few editing errors, such as duplicate words; however, as I got further into the book, those errors seemed isolated to only a few near the beginning.
The authors have done a great job developing the characters of the MC family and setting the stage for future books in the series. The twins, Skinny and Triple Threat, will capture the next two books, Scarred and Schooled, respectively. I can't wait!

Good book. I'm liking the series so far. Like these two as a couple. They really do fit together like a puzzle price. I hope to find out more of brothers in next book.
Only one weird part in this. Last few chapters was confusing to me. Through this book and one before.. Thumper has been giving all the order.. At the end Lurch was giving the orders while thumper watch?? Why was Lurch giving the orders in Church?? Did the roles change that we didn't know about? The President stood back letting the VP make the calls while the President stood watching??? Never seen that before.. I'm wondering if characters got mixed up??
Over all was a good story. Can't wait to read more of the series.
An action and angst packed short book about a damaged (both physically and emotionally) woman who returns to her past and revisits an old love, who has undergone quite a few changes himself. There was a mystery surrounding some unfortunate accidents and deaths and when Shamus (Austin) shows up to help his old (and first) love Andrea out of a jam, it's sparks all over again and a second chance with dangers that neither one could see coming.
I love these two authors separately and together they write biker romance magic. I can't wait to read more from this duo!

I was a little scared reading Scorned. 1st, I didn't connected with Shamed story's characters. They just plainly annoyed me and I found lots of faults with them, that didn't got taken cared of in my opinion. 2nd, I'm not exactly a fan of second chances stories. But I gave this a chance, because these two authors isn't new to me. I enjoyed theirs work before.
So, the 2nd book did a trick. I liked it more then the 1st one. The story caught me from the first chapter. There is a little mystery going on, that will make you question what the hell is going on. And I'm sure you will be as clueless as I was until the end.
I did connected with Shamus and Andrea. They both were great. Especially Shamus. He was something special. Shamus was your sexy, tattooed and protective biker, that you just want to climb like a tree and chain him to your bed. Lol.
And after some little snippets of some bikers, I so looking forward to get a ride with them.
Another great MC story from two amazing authors.
I wasn't sure what to expect with Shamus story. He is someone that while I met in the previous book, I wasn't sure what to think of him. Thankfully I got to know more about him here. He isn't someone that I would normally picture as being a member of an MC. He totally comes across as the teddy bear, guy you want in your corner that truly cares about those around him, and wants to make sure they are ok. However, at the same time, he totally has a ruthless side that is ready to hurt anyone that causes pain to those he considers family.
Andrea is someone that, while she worked hard to achieve her dream, she paid dearly for that as well. She is someone that knows what it is like to have to give up the one person that truly understands and loves you, and is willing to be the bad one when they know they have to leave. On the other hand, she definitely hasn't had an easy life.
This is the second in this series and is a second chance love story.
Austin and Andrea were high school sweethearts. They had a falling out after a miscommunication and Andrea left town to pursue her dream of being a big time reporter. She succeeds but suffers an injury while on assignment and finds herself back home with her mother. It has been 10 years since she saw Austin "Shamus" and she is in no hurry to do so. She does not want him to know of her injury and goes out of her way to avoid him. Shamus knows she is back in town and pretty much stalks her before running into her. When Andrea needs help, Shamus steps up and so begins their journey back to each other. It was a bumpy ride for them and Andrea is in danger from someone unknown to them. Shamus has to enlist all of his MC brothers to find out where the danger is coming from and keep Andrea safe. She does not know the full extent of the danger and Shamus knows time is running out. Andrea's amnesia does not help her and she struggles to put the pieces of the puzzle together. The story flowed well and was easy to follow. There were quite a few editing mistakes that took away somewhat from the story for me.
